Dubrovnik Harbour
CROATIA
Croatia is the new "in" destination for meetings,
incentives and corporate hospitality.
Dubrovnik rightly deserves it reputation as the Pearl
of the Adriatic. The old town dates from the 13th century, and despite
some damage to some of the buildings in the war of the early 1990s, it is now back to its
former glory. There are many international airlines with a flight time of only two hours
from London. Climate is like the Mediterranean and never too cold along the coast.
There are a number of special restored historical venues to use for
lunches and gala dinners. Hotel Excelsior is the flagship for the Adriatic
Luxury Hotels and having undergone a 22million uro renovation, it is
definitely one of the finest hotels in the Adriatic, with its superb views over Dubrovnik
Old Town, Water Sports Centre and Diocletian Spa and Wellness
Centre.
There are many good 4 and 5-star hotels in Dubrovnik, some near the Old
City, and others in the peninsula area of the New Town. Restaurants specialise in
delicious freshly-caught fish. Croatian white and red wines are well worth trying.
Water sports include swimming in the Adriatic, which remains warm up
until October, taking a cruise on a restored wooden galleon, and sailing around the many
islands.

Cavtat Harbour
Visit Cavtat with its delightful fishing harbour, then
drive inland to a watermill to watch flour being milled and to see silk production in an
old village house. Jeep Safaris in the valley near Montenegro
are also popular as part of teambuilding events.

Split Waterfront
Split, with its Palace of Diocletian
dating back to 300 AD, has an impressive waterfront area and promenade where early evening
can be spent people-watching. This City is a starting point for trips to some beautiful
islands including Hvar with its three luxury hotels and fantastic views.
The Croatian people are friendly and helpful; hotel and restaurant
staff all speak good English and present a professional image.
Croatia is very good value, the currency is Kuna, and they are unlikely
to go over to the uro until the end of 2010.
Hold your special event somewhere different Croatia is
that place!
