Strategic Insurance Services Ltd celebrated their 10th anniversary with an action-packed day out at Broomhills Shooting Ground. Kitted out in fleeces embroidered with their new logo, they took part in clay pigeon and crossbow shooting, followed by driving the Argocats crosscountry. Later the celebrations continued with a gastronomic meal at The Bean Tree, then at the newly refurbished Harpenden House Hotel. The director wrote: "I do want to thank you most sincerely for all your help, your attention to detail and your professionalism, which not only ensured a well run event but also a very enjoyable one. We all had a wonderful time and felt it was a fitting way to celebrate."

Close Invoice Finance had a very enjoyable day out at The Burghley Horse Trials, especially as one of their guests is very keen on anything to do with horses. The client wrote: "They had a fantastic day, even Chris, who is not into horses, enjoyed it, but our client stayed right until the end so it was an ideal event for her. Thank you"

Alvarez and Marsal entertained their guests at Lord's for the Test Match against India. They had a very enjoyable day out and cleverly managed to avoid the storms. The client reported "It went well, they had a great time".

Technicolor Films entertained their guests at Lord's for a One-Day Test Match and were delighted to have a rain-free afternoon and to watch England beat the West Indies. They wrote: "So thanks for your help in enabling us to have such a great time! Yesterday was very successful for us."

Alvarez and Marsal held their team meeting for 85 delegates at Pendley Manor Hotel in Hertfordshire. Everyone worked hard to make this a successful event. The client wrote: "Great team, they all made it a great event... everybody was very helpful and I considered it a big success. Thank you."

Close Invoice Finance returned once more to the Marsh Classic at Hurlingham with a large group of clients, who became tennis fans for the day. Everyone enjoyed the delightful surroundings of the Hurlingham Club with a delicious gourmet lunch and cream tea. The guests stayed late into the evening to enjoy the high standard of the tennis matches and the glorious summer weather.

The MD of Close Invoice Finance said: "Thanks  for that. The guests were most appreciative of the day and evidently enjoyed themselves very much. Thanks for your efforts in bringing it all together."

 Technicolor Films entertained their lady clients at the Boodles Challenge Ladies Day at Stoke Park, an event which has definitely made it into the elite prestige events of the season. There was a splendid display of Boodles jewellery to match the high quality tennis matches, revealing interviews with the players and excellent hospitality, all set in the delightful grounds of Stoke Park.

West LB had a very successful fly fishing day on an exclusive beat on the River Test. Despite several downpours, everybody enjoyed the day out. Fortified by a pub lunch and with skilled advice from the gillies, one of the guests caught a magnificent 4 ½ lb trout. EMC Computer Systems (UK) Ltd entertained their clients with some exciting cricket at the Twenty20 Surrey v Middlesex match at The Oval. When the rain came down they enjoyed the excellent hospitality in their private box.

Close Invoice Finance Limited entertained their North of England clients at Royal Ascot at York and everyone enjoyed themselves despite the cold, wet weather.

Close then took their South of England clients to the popular Marsh Classic Tennis Tournament at Hurlingham. The tennis was very entertaining, the hospitality was superb and everyone relaxed in the sunshine in the delightful surroundings of the Hurlingham Club.

NWP Spectrum Limited held their annual staff event at Bosworth Hall in the Midlands. Participants spent the morning taking part in some challenging teambuilding, where brains and team tactics proved more important than strength. In the afternoon, the competition hotted up with various It's a Knock-out Games such as Budgie Ballet, Penguin Pursuit and finishing with the hilarious Slippery Slope. The winning team was led by the head of the German Office. The event ended with a super dinner in a private room.

Technicolor Limited entertained some of their clients at a fun activity day out in Oxfordshire. The speed merchants raced against the clock on Honda Pilots and Quad Bikes, but the real test of skill came with the reverse steering Land Rovers. Surprisingly those who had no driving licence fared the best! Others ended up scattering cones everywhere. The overall winners were Warner Bros. in a hugely competitive day's sport.

Holtby Turner held a fun multi-activity day for their staff at a shooting ground in Hertfordshire. They tried their skills at clay pigeon shooting, archery, air rifle shooting and quad bike driving and even hurled themselves down the para-slide zip wire. After a highly competitive day to mark a successful year and the opening of their Midlands Office, everyone enjoyed a gourmet restaurant dinner.

GMO welcomed over a hundred people to their Bubbles & Brainwashing event held at Gibson Hall in the City of London. Many delegates had travelled from Europe and the United States to attend this interesting annual conference. The event was a great success, finishing with everyone enjoying a buffet lunch in the sunny Garden Room.

Wedlake Bell entertained their clients at an exciting Casino Evening. Guests played their chips on the roulette , blackjack and poker tables while enjoying delicious food and wine. It was just as well it was pretend money as there were many heavy losses. The magnum of champagne first prize went to a lady, as did two more of the prizes - they all played the tables quite ruthlessly! It was left to one lone male banker to carry off a prize on behalf of the men.

Corporate Entertainment Consultancy organized a grand river cruise on the Thames for GMO aboard the splendid tall ship "Mare Frisium". Apart from champagne and a festive buffet, then a lively disco, the climax of the evening was the grand opening of Tower Bridge to allow the stately vessel to pass. Set against a backdrop of the London skyline by night, the "Mare Frisium" provided a memorable party cruise for all the guests.

NWP Spectrum Limited held a super multi-activity teambuilding day at a great country venue. Everybody enjoyed meeting people they had only spoken to previously on the phone.   A varied programme included whizzing down the zip-wire from the top of the activity tower, negotiating steep hills, potholes and flooded quarries in Land Rovers, a Quad Bike Safari in the woods, archery and laser clay shooting.   Then it was time for a dip in the heated pool and relax in the Jacuzzi at a luxurious country house hotel, followed by dinner and a cabaret.

Agfa held a superb sailing day on the luxurious Najad "Jessica" for their clients. The wind produced some excellent sailing conditions in the morning, and after a delicious buffet lunch, great fun was had zooming around the Solent on the new fast RIB.

Bidcorp PLC took their clients to the popular Marsh Classic Tennis Tournament at Hurlingham Club. As usual the Seniors produced some entertaining high class tennis and after an excellent lunch, everyone relaxed until late on a sunny evening watching the action courtside.

CMS Cameron McKenna held a successful and highly competitive clay pigeon shoot and driving event for their clients in the North at a venue in Cheshire, followed by a night out on the town in Chester. The competition produced some excellent scores and the winners were rewarded with champagne.

Technicolor were fortunate to entertain about thirty of their clients on the hottest day of the year aboard "Rum Jungle" a luxury 75 ft motor cruiser. They cruised past The Needles and other landmarks on the Isle of Wight before jumping in and swimming off the boat! After a superb buffet lunch and champagne, the afternoon was spent cruising up the Beaulieu River and hearing the history of old Bucklers Hard Village.

Agfa entertained their top clients with their wives aboard the splendidly restored classic ketch Rona. After an excellent lunch at Murrays on the Isle of Wight, they relaxed on the luxurious yacht while sailing on a beautiful sunny afternoon.

Jacobs Holdings once again enjoyed the tennis and superb catering at the Hurlingham Seniors Tennis Tournament. Their clients were still glued to the action at 7.30 pm due to some spectacular doubles matches and the amazing weather!

Salans, Herzfeld & Heilbronn held a reception at the splendid Leighton House Museum with its fine art collection. A pianist entertained the guests who came from Europe and the States. This was the introductory event for the annual partners' conference which we organised at The Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington.

Glaxo Wellcome’s Gastro-Enterology Department held a sailing regatta "The Big Wind 2000" and fought a hard race from the Isle of Wight back to the Hamble. Despite a strong tide running, the seven-man crew ‘Pylorid’ on ‘Bryan’s View’ emerged as the front-runners and arrived back first to enjoy a well-earned tea and wine reception. They took home their "Big Wind 2000" trophy as well as a souvenir tankard each.

Agfa held an exciting multi-activity day in the Cotswolds with clay pigeon shooting, archery, 4 wheel driving and Blitz car racing. The day produced some splendid winners in a highly competitive atmosphere, finishing with a lavish cream tea and prize giving.  

Salans, Herzfeld & Heilbronn gave a summer reception for some of their American clients at the lovely One Whitehall Place overlooking the Thames. The high spot of the evening was a whisky tasting with a choice of three single cask single malt whiskies and an entertaining quiz organised by our whisky expert.

Barclays Bank held a clay pigeon shoot at Castle Ashby, followed by lunch in the Grand Hall, then an enthralling close-up magic show on a longboat on the canal. In brilliant winter sunshine they followed this up with a country pursuits day at a splendid country house in Hertfordshire. 

Chase Manhattan Bank held a successful meeting with their clients at Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond. The next day we travelled to the Ayrshire coast to play golf on the famous Prestwick Golf Course. The following day we fished from boats on the Loch and had lunch on an island surrounded by picturesque scenery. Everyone enjoyed the relaxed pace of life in Scotland and the superb leisure facilities at Cameron House.  

Agfa entertained their motion picture clients on a series of sailing days on a luxurious Najad yacht in the Solent. The sun shone on us this year once again.  

Technicolor Films held yet another successful Power & Sail Day in the Solent with a magnificent 60ft motor yacht, a luxurious 52ft sailing yacht and a Rib, which gave everyone an exhilarating ride. Our chef stayed aboard to prepare a delicious meal.  

Corporate Entertainment Consultancy, together with PG Event Solutions of Tunbridge Wells, arranged a relaxing ladies day out for Swiss Life aboard the Venice Simplon Orient Express with an interesting guided tour round Bath. A luxurious day out with excellent hospitality was much enjoyed by everyone.  

Corporate Entertainment Consultancy, together with The Square, organised a fun teambuilding day for Peugeot, to follow their conference and gala dinner. An exciting Mission Impossible took place around Coventry City Centre. The Treasure Hunt and Scavenger Hunt prompted team rivalries and fierce competitive spirit. Some very revealing photographs appeared!...Even a parking warden was persuaded to smile for the camera by the statue of Lady Godiva on her white horse! Everyone was relieved to come in from the cold and enjoy a hot lunch followed by the prize giving.   

Matthews & Goodman held a fun Mission Impossible event for their three offices. Participants raced around the village of Market Bosworth and even discovered the rector reading Playboy outside the church. Everyone agreed it was a real bonding exercise.
